A counter for short notice
Gift Expression sits on Eighth Avenue in Midtown and stays open until midnight. The stock is chosen for the occasions that arrive with about a day of warning.
Stocked for the day before
Most gift buying is not planned. It happens the evening before a birthday, the morning after bad news, or on the way to a housewarming. A shop that keeps late hours ends up stocking for exactly that customer, and this catalogue reflects it: assembled boxes, finished keepsakes, nothing that needs ordering in.
That is also why the price range is deliberately wide. A four-dollar initial necklace and a forty-dollar comfort box serve the same customer on different days.
Assembled, not components
Where something is sold as a basket or a box, it arrives assembled and presented. We are not sending you a blanket, a mug and a ribbon and leaving the arrangement to you at eleven at night.
The corollary is that these sets cannot be varied. What is photographed is what is inside, and swapping a component is not something we can do through the website.
Sending directly
Plenty of orders go straight to the recipient, and the checkout supports that. One thing worth knowing: the packing slip lists the contents, so it is not a blind gift service. If the surprise matters, send it to yourself first.
We do not offer a message card at checkout. It is a real gap and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
